We have been very excited for our chance to go the pumpkin patch this year. The kids and I love going to a certain one each year because they have special things {like a hay ride with a story} that we’ve always looked forward to!
This year, we got there…. and it was PACKED! Beyond packed. I couldn’t move my car one way or another for about 5 minutes just to turn around and leave! So… we left that one which didn’t make the kids super happy. We had to go to one! They were all dressed up in their sweet pumpkin patch outfits!
So we went all the way across town to another pumpkin patch. Turns out one of the workers there had gotten hurt earlier in the morning and had to be taken to the hospital, which meant no hay ride for anyone! There was one lady running the whole show. They didn’t anticipate how many people were coming this year and didn’t order enough pumpkins. So, they didn’t even have any pumpkins to pick at the pumpkin patch!
Despite all the frustrations, one thing this patch had that our favorite didn’t, was a pony ride! Hannah and Noah were so excited to jump on one {which definitely surprised me}!
The kids ended up having so much fun and so did I! I just realized that there is not one picture of me at the patch with them. How silly?!
How cute is this girl!?
Poor guy… His eyes are SO sensitive to the sun!
Nice goat….
Turned mean! He totally was eating her ribbon in this picture, and she FREAKED! “Mom I want out NOW! I do NOT like these goats anymore!” {She stomped the whole way out of the pen}… LOL
The kids BOTH rode the ponies all by themselves and did such a great job! Hannah’s horse was named Princess and Noah’s was named Jake! {how fitting… Noah LOVES Jake and The Neverland Pirates!, and Princess is a given!}
I have to say it… She is SO CUTE!
After the pony rides, they got nice and sweaty in the bounce houses, and ran through a pretty difficult maze!
They made it out!
{Hannah’s dress and Noah’s shirt were both made by me}
And, just for fun… a little flashback!
2008, is a blur to me! And I’ve lost all my pictures from 2007 & 2008! But I had a teeny tiny one of one-month-old Hannah at a fall festival!
