Noah’s {real} 3rd Birthday!

It was a pretty chill day overall.
No big to-do.
Noah was quite confused about why he had a party on the 1st, and why I told him Happy Birthday non-stop on the 4th. So I had to lay off the birthday shenanigans because he was starting to drive me crazy asking when everyone was coming for his party, even though he already had one 3 days prior. See, now you’re confused too!

I didn’t wake him up singing Happy Birthday to him because that would’ve required waking up at 6 and turning over right next to me to singing to him. {I know, worst mom ever right?! What kind of mom doesn’t wake her kids up with balloons and singing on their birthday?!} He sleeps with me, so there was no going in waking up anyone...
He woke me up.

Then, I told him Happy Birthday.

Simple!

We were going to run to the donut store and put a candle in a donut and call it a “Happy Birthday Breakfast”, but he actually said no to donuts for the first time in his 3 years of life! Shocker! He wanted to stay home and play with his new toys. So we stayed home… and he opened up his one {big} gift. He got plenty of stuff at his party, so we wanted to give him something on his birthday that was for him and Hannah to play with together. So she had a surprise in it as well!

Yes, I covered it with a sheet :)

They were so excited for their new KidCraft Kitchen and all the goodies inside! Hannah got her very own apron, oven mitts and a chef’s hat. They love it! There was squealing, jumping and clapping!

Christmas 2012 006

Instead of a whole bunch of plastic food that will end up getting lost all over my house, I made these sweet little felt foods. They love them! They are durable, washable and much more life-like. I’m so glad they liked them because they weren’t easy to make! They are all the exact size of the real version.

After Hannah got out of school, we headed to Richardson to decorate pottery! Some of them were gifts so I can’t post all the pictures! But the kiddos had so much fun with our good friends Madison and Hamilton!

After quite a few times of trying to get them all to smile at once: {especially after we told them we had to leave the pottery there to bake}…

Is this picture not the most precious thing you’ve ever seen? {Hannah looks a little creepy though haha}

They were yelling “Clayhouse”!

I finally got them all to look, smile and put their hands down! LOL

Happy 3rd {real} birthday Noah! I love you so much!

Love,
Mommy

  2. Your felt food turned out great! A friend of mine bought fake food at Hobby Lobby. It looks so realistic compared to the plastic play food. The strawberries have green fabric leaves on them. So cute! So happy that the kids got a kitchen!
